The project of the development of Prirazlomnoye oil field is the first project for the conditions of the Arctic region of the
north of European part of Russia and unique in the world practice. One platform in the conditions of the complicated Arctic Shelf ice situation will
be used for the performance of all technological operations: drilling of wells, production, storage and off-loading of oil to tankers.
CDB ME "Rubin" takes part in the design of offshore ice-resistant fixed platform for Prirazlomnoye field from the
early stages of development. At the early design stages the enterprise developed a number of platform concepts for this particular field (sea depth
about 19 m, hammocked ice with consolidated part about 3.5 m), which differed both in platform structures and options of platform fixing on the seabed
(gravity type, piled, hybrid type, artificial island, "bracelet", etc.) and the main technical and economical characteristics of the platform were determined. The enterprise arranged and took part in various investigations (in ice and wave basins, in the experiments pertaining to the platform interaction with the soil and support vessels). As a result of these works technical solutions were developed that were used as a basis of detailed design of the platform.
On FEED stage the design of the platform was carried out by CDB ME "Rubin" (Client: ZAO "Morneftegazproekt")
in close co-operation with other design agencies of Russia and Ukraine: CDB "Coral", Vedeneev VNIIG, "Termnefteproekt",
SRDI "Shelf".
CDB ME "Rubin" carried out a large scope of works related to the preparation of the initial technical requirements to
the equipment to be installed on the platform, searching for the potential suppliers, studying of technical-commercial offers and preparation of the
reports for studying by the Customer’s bidding commission. The enterprise was involved in the approval of the contract technical specifications and
performed technical supervision of the documents developed by the equipment manufacturers. The participation of the enterprise specialists in the
acceptance of the most complicated and important equipment made the important part of this work.
In order to provide the support for the design, construction and further operation of the platform a 3D modeling group was
arranged at the enterprise for building and keeping the 3D PDS model of the platform up-to-date.
Preparation of working documentation and construction of the platform is performed at PO "Sevmash" and CDB ME
"Rubin" provides the assistance in the development of the detailed design documents.
In 2006 an important operation of Hutton TLP topsides skidding on the caisson was carried out by PO "Sevmash".
In order to provide the safety of this operation CDB ME "Rubin" carried out complex strength calculations of the platform structures
to ensure strength of the platform during skidding operation.
