City Tram    

   

     CDB ME "Rubin" developed the documents for the tram car of a new type with asynchronous traction electric drive and lowered floor level.

     The tram car has a number of distinctive features as compared to those being built at present:

  • reduction of electric power consumption by 20 - 25%;
  • reduction of operational costs by 30 - 40% ;
  • reduction of axle load;
  • main equipment location on the roof;
  • higher average speed on a conventional leg of a route and thus, increase of traffic capacity of city streets;
  • reduced level of external noise;
  • air conditioning of the driver’s cabin;
  • heating and forced ventilation of the passenger salon ;
  • possibility of the tram car mechanical washing due to smooth surface of the car body;
  • external platform with a drive for wheeled chairs or baby carriages;
  • modern design.
