CDB ME "Rubin" developed the technical proposal related to the development of the electric locomotive for towing of the passenger
trailer cars of high-speed train.
The electric train is intended for the exploitation on railway tracks adapted to electric power, using DC with rated voltage 3 kV and AC 25 kV,
50 Hz with gauge of 1524 mm with maximum exploitation speed 200 km/hr on horizontal part of the track.
The body of electric locomotive is manufactured in the form of a massive all-welded frame, the carcass made of rolled sections and cover components
made of rolled sheets. For the simplification of welding procedure and body cost reduction they are manufactured out of carbon and low-alloyed
steels which are considerably cheaper in comparison with stainless steel.
In order to provide safety in case of accident collisions, the forward and aft parts of the electric locomotive are equipped with power absorbing elements.
The train-driver’s cabin is equipped with forced ventilation with air-conditioning.
The current collectors provide the reliable current pick-off with power supply from both AC and DC circuits at the speed of electric locomotive
up to 200 km/hr.
The integrated on-board control system created on the basis of modern microprocessor systems provides for the manual automated control of electric
locomotive motion observing all necessary safety regulations and also the control, monitoring and diagnostics of the electric locomotive technical
facilities.
